Joseph is a senior retail and product development executive with 35 years of general management experience in department stores, specialty stores, and consumer products. He is recognized throughout the industry as a leading product development, sourcing and manufacturing expert who is credited with building profitable businesses in Men's, Women's, Children's, Footwear, and Home. His senior level management experience includes design, merchandising, marketing and sales promotion, sourcing and manufacturing.
He began his career with Abraham & Straus when it was considered the nation's leading training ground for retail talent. He ascended through the ranks of retail, wholesale, and consumer product companies to senior management positions with Gap Inc., Mervyns, The Walt Disney Company and Nike. Joseph gained significant international experience as Senior Vice President of The Gap and Executive Vice President of Mervyns, Senior Vice President of The Walt Disney Company and Vice President of Nike.
Joseph was a Cleared Government Advisor representing the apparel industry during the period 1985-1993 to help negotiate the NAFTA Agreement and the GATT Agreement.
He currently serves as a board member at the Retail Management Institute at Santa Clara Institute. He holds a Bachelor of Science from Wisconsin State University.
