Thomas K. Grams

Over the last twenty years, Tom has been at the forefront of new media, cross promoting emerging technologies with traditional media to create new and innovative businesses. He has been an executive at, and senior consultant to, some of the world's most successful media companies.

As one of Discovery Channel's early employees, Tom served as an executive in both cable distribution and TV programming. He won cable carriage for the fledgling channel in the U.S. and later created content partnerships with the world's leading public broadcasters, such as the British Broadcasting Corporation, helping the company earn the title of the world's largest producer of non-fiction entertainment. While at Discovery, Tom was also part of the team that launched The Learning Channel (TLC). Later, as a consultant to Ziff Davis Publishing, Tom served as a co-founder of ZDTV, which was sold to Paul Allen within 18 months at a 100% profit to its owners.

Tom is a partner with William Randolph Hearst III in San Simeon Releasing, a digital media investment company. He sits on the Advisory Board of Broadband Media companies, including TurnHere.com and Fora.tv. He holds a Master of Business Administration from George Washington University, and a Bachelor of Arts from Minnesota State University.
